Every since the iMac came out it's been bugging me. It just looked too familiar. If, as Steve Jobs implied, the iMac was like the new VW bug. Then where was the old bug? After some dumpster diving at Apple, I have found the true origins of the iMac. Those of you who remember the physical boxes that a "terminal emulator" actually emulates will doubtless recall...

Yes, this is the original inspiration for the new iMac. Witness this never-before-released design prototype.
